Best Practices for Updating Production Systems

Likewise, before performing any update on a production system, a complete backup must be performed and it must be verified that the backup can be successfully restored. The backup should include all data, configurations, and components required to recover the system if the update causes any unexpected issues.

3. Perform a complete backup of the system, applications, data, and configurations.
